1) How can I change the audio send button? Only option is "middle mouse click to send audio" and ... voice activated (doesn't say anywhere)? Where is the option to change what is the audio send key?
2) You should be able to test your audio settings without having to go to chat channel and "disable audio". The client should be clever enough to see I'm want to test my audio/mic settings so it disables audio chat during the test and not ask me to stop audio on channels.
3) Could not adjust microphone levels reliably from the client. We played around for good 5-10 minutes trying to get the audio levels working. These same mic recording levels I have in windows audio settings - which work for Ventrilo, Teamspeak, MSN audio and Skype without any tweaking - do not work in EVE Voice. Everything was quiet: my own audio + what I received. I changed voice level to 9, tweaked sound input level, no help. Trying to get the audio levels from the ingame settings messed around with windows settings and they are now - not right... Perhaps some documentation required?
Soory, but we couldn't change the audio send key or control the audio send/receive (or they dont work right) levels, it's almost impossible to really try this out... Perhaps someone can give some tips how these are supposed to work and we'll try again.

When you are on a channel, right click it's name and you have option "Join Audio" |

Originally by: Darth StickyFingers how will we know when our account has been activated? I mailed in last night and im not seeing anything yet.
When you've selected your character and are entering station (or space I guess, didn't try), you'll se a message flash in the middle of screen saying like "initialising voice setup" or similar. Then you'll be able to right click on chat channel name and right click - join audio. |

Edited by: Ized Evil on 04/03/2007 09:29:17 Tried to test it a little more, but no dice:
When I try to adjust the audio settings from windows, EVE changes them back to around 30-40% mic recording level. I have not been able to find any way to adjust the mic level from within the EVE voice settings in audio. |
